I would assume that my TPS is set correctly since my mechanic put a brand new one on about 1500 miles ago along with IAC. Should I go ahead and check my TPS?

thats probably your problem then. Its not in any repair manual about the setting of the tps sensor. It just has been with a lot of research on our part. To check it put a needle in the green wire then get a volt meter and put the + side on the needle and the - on a good ground and turn the key to the on position dont start the car and see what the reading is. It should be at about .98 to .99
