Remove the Air sliencer.
"The air silencer is a box looking obstruction in front of the air cleaner, it's supposed to quiet down the air rushing into the motor, its blocking the air flow though, therefore removing it nets some power. I am pretty sure on the 4.6 stangs its located in the fender, you may be able to get to it from the engine compartment. Since its a 4.6 Liter, its kind of hard to say how much power you will get, with a 5.0 without a doubt you will get some free power, but some people say removing the silencer on a 4.6 Stang helped with the power, other people (and dyno tests) have shown a slight drop in power when its removed, the only way to find out is to take it out, and see if it feels any better, some things are more throttle response, and overall more power."

thanks for the advice but i have a open cone KNN filter so i don't think that the silencer will effect my intake at all. but i will check to see if it is located anywere in front of the filter. Oh yeah by the way it is a 5.0 . Any other advice will be greatly appriciated. thanks

Not really.
Go buy a grinding kit and bore out your stock throttle body. Keep the plate in there so you don't bore where it seals (so you won't have a real high idle). Clean it nice and good, slap it on there. Not free...but damned cheap.
Gained my freinds' '92 POS SL2 AUTO a 1/10 in the 1/4 mile.
