Default Leaky injector.

The frontmost injector by by the alternator is leaking on top by the fuel rail. It is very easy to get to but do i need to remove the entire fuel rail and even the upper intake manifold just to replace the upper o ring on the injector?? What am i going to need to do to fix it? Thanks!!

Thanks, but is there an easier way that doesn't involve removing the upper intake manifold, If there isn't how long is it going to take?

Unless u think u can pop the injectors off with the upper on then your gonna have to take it off. If you can somehow get that injector off then u can just get a new oring and put it on the injector then put it back in the fuel rail and its that easy. Try it and see what happens. When i took mine out the orings stayed in the fuel line so u might have to get some kind of little screwdriver or something to get that o ring outta there. let me know what u do.

You have to take the upper intake off to get to the fuel rails. You dont want to beat the caps of the injectors. Just take off the upper intake, unbolt the fuel lines, pull the injectors out of the rails and replace all the O-rings. Put a small amount of grease on the o-rings so they slide back in nicely. the grease will burn off so you dont have to worry about that.

Thats exactly what I did but I just replaced all the injecters with new ones that way I didn't have to worry about another one leaking later. I never replaced injecters before but I figured I'd try it . Took about 3 hours. Just make sure if you do them that you plug the holes that the injecters go into until you put them back in. The reason I say this is because I had all the injecters out and some of the gaskets were still stuck in the fuel rail. When I pryed on one of them out it flew into one of the holes were the injecters went. Long story short I did get it out. So if you change them just be careful

Thanks for all the help. Now i got the intake manifold off and the fuel rail off, do the injectors just pull out? I tried to pull on them but they arent coming off, but they spin around easily, I just dont want to break anything by pulling too hard.
