long tubes probably make a tad bit more power, and i would go w/ an H pipe
w/ the flowmasters, X pipes and flows dont sound as good to me

Obviously the long tubes w/ H pipe, shorties are junk, very restrictive.

Depends on your combo....If you're mostly stock, LT's won't do you any good or give you any noticeable gains. If you're going to do more mods, then LT's would be a good way to go.

shorties will give you more low end torque but less high rpm power

long tubes will lose some low rpm power but gain high rpm power

if going to put blower or turbo on long tubes will help, if you dont plan on blower
long tubes are a little bit of waste, you wont gain much difference for the extra cost

everyone says H-pipe sound better and gives little more power.

Because of all the bends in them. Now explain how equal length shorties are better than equal length long tubes. That's why you never see a true performance car with shorties.

Ok seems like the long tubes + H-pipe are the best choice over Short or long tube+ X pipe. from what you guys are saying the long tube gives you more if you have more mods in the engine and shorties are better if you are stock or light modified..Im planning on get my stang to the 12 sec club so I guess I'll invest on long tubes thanks for the advices...now what do you guys think of the pro chamber?? is it better than the h-pipe ? also any advices on wich brand of headers/mid pipe is really worth the money? so far im looking to buy the mac's but I'll consider any advice from you guys.

Just a matter of opinion. For the average street car, the difference between the two won't be that much.
