to rebuild my t-5 myself...I have a few friends with mustangs that are in school at UTI to become mechanics and their gonna help. They all said its not that hard at all. Cheapest quote i got in the area was 900 to rebuild...Way to rich for my pocketbook. Im ordering the book How To Rebuild and Modify Your Manual Transmission supposedly it has good illustrations and step by step directions.....IMO opinion i dont think it can be that hard with good directions and the right tools which i have...Any expierences rebuilding?

I rebuilt borgwarner t-5's when I went to LTI (Lincoln Tech) and there a fairly basic transmission. The hardest part I thought was getting the tailshaft housing back on. If your buddies go to UTI you should have no problem.
