Just took a disgruntled break from removing my stock headers. Got one bolt off drivers side and cant get other one! Figured i'd cool off and vent. Maybe go back after some beer!!![sm=icon_cheers.gif] dang ford bolts!!!

 

Whats the problem your encountering? Stuck? clearance?

its the top bolt, I thought about taking a cutoff wheel to it. The other one snapped off from the rust deposits, I was hoping the top would do the same but it wont budge

 

soak them with wd-40 and let them sit

 

I thought maybe I would run into that on mine after being on the car for 14 years but I guess I got lucky, they all came out w/ no problem. Hope you get it worked out!!!

 

forget the wd-40, get some real "penetrating fluid"

it's cheap and will wick down into the threads and cut right thru rust.

 

got wd on it now ill go back later and maybe it will fall off lol lol

 

tell'n you, " penetrating fluid " is way to go, was designed for just that problem.

 

PB Blaster worked good for me. Had to soak it 2 times to get it to break though on one bolt.

 

PB Blaster is the sh*t i use it at work all the time
