Ignition
My car (94 Cobra) came with a Crane Cams HI-6 CD Ignition that needs to be installed. I want to install it in the passenger compartment in order to keep it out of the elements and away from extreme of heat...
Question:
Is it possible to just splice a piece of wire in there to extend the necessary wires from the engine bay into the car, or is there a special wiring harness with the plugs in order to do that? (Splice would be comparable gauge wire, soldered, and shrink-wrapped, not half a$$ed)

As long as everything is soldered and the correct gauge wire you should be fine. Is this car boosted or running nitrous? Really, on the newer cars the ignitions are more than enough. If the car was'nt FI I could see the benefit. You also want to keep the wires away from any sensor wires and such. CDI's pump alot of current that might interfere with your factory sensors. If you install it, get a coil made to run with the CDI not an inductive discharge type for maximum benefit.
