Rev limiter stock?

When I push the RPMs higher than 3800-3900 it sounds like theres a rev limiter on the car... (94 cobra) I don't know if there is a rev limiter or if valve float is happening that early or what. Anyone have an idea how to fix the rev limiter?

if there was, i wouldn't think it would be at 3900rpms.

i have a friend that had a cobra and he said there was no rev limiter on his.
anyway they dont redline at 3900 rpm so you should not have a prob with that.

make sure you dont have any ignition probs, check the coil plugs wires dizzy cap rotor..... does it do this when its in neutral/park...

What does a rev limiter sound like?

You could have a fuel delivery problem (clogged fuel filter)

Clogged air filter (if you can't remember the last time it was changed/cleaned, it's probably time to do it)

Clogged cats (pull the O2 sensors, if it pulls past 3900 you found your problem)

I guess that's enough to get you started.
