ok well tonight i was sitting in a parking lot and my car dies. go to start it takes a while to catch. when it finaly started running the idel was a little weird. i start driving and the car starts bucking back and forth really bad doesnt want to go anyway. put in the clutch car dies. get it running and it starts bucking again finaly i let it die and roll down the parking lot. my exhaust smelt like complete *** hole. i have never smelt something like that before so bad basicly burned into my nose. WHAT THE F*CK HAPPEND?

no they are not even a year old...i think the plugs fouled but im not sure thats why im in here this late at night i just dropped 105 on a tow back to my house

What colour was the exhaust?

All that can really be burned is either coolant, oil or rich (or carbon which is highly unlikely)

ok im going ot bed i have work in the morning i just want info on what people think it is i dont have a second car so i really need to know whats going on so i can get it fixed. just for a little extra info the exhaust smelt like something was burning and it lingered and still does 4 hours later. the car would crank but not want to catch untill i started pumping the gas a little. the idel when it did idel was a vroom.....vroom.....vroom.....vroom. instead of the vroom vroom vroom vroom like normal. and when i would try and drive in first it would buck back and forth really really violently.

my friend said it was a dark white smoke from the exhaust

Maybe running a little rich is all I can think of with that colour, but still that doesn't explain the smell you're smelling. I'd check the cats. Unbolt the exhaust between the headers and cats somewhere and see if it runs better. Might not run much better (if that's the problem) if you unbolt it before the O2 sensors if your car has them.

ive had this happen to me. is cause i was running wayy to rich. when i put on my full exhaust i guess it leaned out? then i didnt have the problem again.

the thing is i just got it tuned a month ago at a speed shop and she was was running great all day till i got out of applebees last night adn went to go home. the exhaust isnt even a year old do you really think the cat would go?

I had an 84 gt with the 600 holley that did the same thing and it was a blown power valve.I rebuilt the hole carb,adjusted floats all that jazz and it cured a lot of chit that wasnt rite with my ride.
