RE: Mustang just dies
i do believe that is the switch in the back? someone correct me if im wrong here. take the rear interior pannels off like if you were putting a bulb in the tail lights. there will be a lil black box to your left if you are facing towards the front of the car. it will have an orange or white thing sticking out of the top push that in untill it clicks.

RE: Mustang just dies
I have had this same problem with my 95. There are a lot of posts and threads on 95's doing this on other forums. Mine will run fine, then all of a sudden, the car will just die, no reason. Have to let it sit like 5 or 10 minutes, then back to normal. Its not running hot either. So, I replaced the TFI and still did it. I think it really only does it for me on very hot days and lots of driving.... for you not sure. Something in mine is heating up. THere is a "stator" or "pick up" by the distributor that could cause a problem with these too (its worked with some people's and not on others). Mine only did it once last year, but only drove it like 1000 miles or so.
Does yours just seem like its out of gas when it dies. Thats what mine seems like... but its never even close. Could be the fuel pump going out too, hell, i dont know. This kind of thing is a money pit, until you find the problem. I just quit driving it as often and runs good!!
Keep us up to date if you do find something out.. there are a lot of people (not on this forum) that would love to know the cause of this with the 95 gt. good luck

RE: Mustang just dies
I have a problem here - I charged up my battery because it was going dead from it just turning and not starting. I charged it several times and it started right up. Then I let it run for a few mikes, then it just shut down - this happened a couple of times as well. After it shut down, I just left the charge on the battery and it ran for as long as I needed it to and no problems. Could this be the problem of the car not getting enough voltage and if so where could this be coming from?

I have a 5.0HO and the 10th vin is an S. And yes I used an OBD II Scanner to get these codes.
I have a 5.0HO and the 10th vin is an S. And yes I used an OBD II Scanner to get these codes.
Code P1233 = Fuel Pump Driver Module (FPDM) module offline.....The SN95 5.0L do not use a FPDM, this is a module used to "drive" the fuel pump with the CCRM, and started its use with the '94-'95 4.6L Continentals; this is the reason why it's a "bogus" code.
Code P0193 = Injector Pressure Sensor Circuit High Input...this is not a valid '95 EEC-V code either, it starts being used in '96 EEC-V....... for Crown Vic's w/natural gas engine setups having an Injector Pressure sensor.
So....eventhough the SN95's have an OBD-II connector, it's the VIP connector the one to use to read system codes. My 2ยข.
