HELP! CAR WENT INTO LIMP MODE AND RNS LIKE CRAP! NEED HELP ASAP
ok guys i pumped techron premium in my car today for the first time since katrina(yes i live in new orleans). and i was on the interstate and my check engine light pops up. i try and see if something is wrong(becasue i ahd this problem before i.e. having no power when flooring it before) so i floored it and they had absolutely no power, it took like 6 seconds to get to 60-80.. and i felt NO power at all... ok i was at home and my dad had his snap-on scanner so i scanned the car. it came out
Codes: 98 DTC Present (FMEM)/EPC CKT FAULT
66 Air Flow( MAF/VAF) Signal Low Ckt GND
i know that code 66 means that my MAF is most likely bad, and code 98 i read in the troubleshooter book that the car has went into a Limp mode.
If someone can please help me ASAP i would greatly appreiciate it because i have no car to drive to school if this thing keeps running like ****! TANKS in advanced

Ok to check the MAF you can tap it lightly with a screw driver while it is on. If the RPM's go crazy then its time for a new MAF. I dont think that the gas would do anything to your car cause premium gas from chevron is one of the best. Maybe it is time to do a tune up. Check your fuel filter and fuel pressure. Go from there. Good luck.

i just did a full tune up. i just got the car out of hte shop like 2 weeks ago. had the change hte whole dizzy becasue it couldnt idle for ****.. i mean the the wasnt even driveable. wlel ill try that tomorrow after i get off from school. wish me luck. any other advice would be appreciativve.

Heres a question for you....
You get a CEL code saying you have a bad MAF..... and your still asking US whats wrong with it.... common sence dude.... make the codes go away THEN ask for help. We arent going to buy the parts FOR you

whoa geeze not to be negative but im just trying to figure out whats wrong.. damn man chill out. i knew the MAF was bad but i didnt understand the code 98.. the FMEM aka "limp mode"
