Default BBK shorty headers, standard or equal length?

whats the difference? (other than length of course) Is one any better than the other? Is one easier to install? I'm trying to put a parts list together for my exhaust, and i'm not sure which headers to get.

Unequals are easier to install, just a bigger version of the stockers. I have equal ceramic ones myself

yes unequals are easier to install , and ceramic in the way to go. But once your numbers get a little higher, equals will flow a little better.
If you can afford it get shorty equal ceramic

cool, thanks for the tips. why are the ceramics better, do they get rid of heat better? or are they just more durable?

If you get to the point where your power outgrows your unequal shorties, go w/ long tubes, not equal shorties. for now, though, some BBK ceramic shorties or FRPP shorties would work great. BTW, the FRPP shorties cost a little more b/c they're stainless steel and the FRPP ceramic shorties are coated by Jet-Hot.

difference

shorties: like stock but better

equal length: great pains taken to keep exhaust path equal distance for all cylinders

long tubes: super flow, good for a supercharger

on higher flowing exhaust on stock or low modded engines you will
gain a little hp on the top end, but lose low rpm torque.

pluses and minuses for all.

So i should probably just go with some ceramic normal (unequal) shorties right now? My engine is basically all stock as of right now, it will have a CAI this weekend and some underdrives soon, but thats about it.
