ok...so if I can do 60 MPH in first gear...with whatever gears I have. Lets say they are 3.73. If I put 4.10's in it will I still be able to do 60 MPH in first gear? No it will change. I want to know if 4.10 gears are LONGER or SHORTER than 3.73's. You telling me that they will make my car accelerate quicker tells me that they 4.10 gears are SHORTER, correct? Thus dropping my top and speed and my 60 MPH in first gear.

Yes they are shorter, after 3.73s you might be able to do 30-40 mph in 1st. You must have 2.73s, because that's what I've got in my AOD vert and I can do 65 in first gear.

when i bought the car there were 64342 miles on it and i have hadt it about 9 months and put about another 650 miles on since then. The car is in absolute mint condition i bought it for $6500 and i thought that was a good deal. The original gears were 3.27s and i went up to 4.10s what a difference that makes with an AOD. I hoping when i add my exhaust and sticky tires i can get a 13.9-14.10 i will keep everyone updated.

Sounds awesome, same gears that I have (3.27s) and I'm also going with a 4.10 soon. I can't wait to see how big of a difference there is. And personally I would do a stall before I did exhaust.
