Default Put the 4.10s in!!! Awesome!!!!!

Ok last summer i bought my 88 Mustang GT with AOD. Bumped the timing to 14 degrees set the TPS to .99 and took the air box cone out. Took it to the dragway and it ran a 15.41@89 MPH. The next week i put some underdrive pullys on from BBK took it to the track and it ran a 15.20@93 MPH. just last week i put the 4.10s in it and nothing else is done to the car plus is has 13 year old ShI$$y tires on it. so just wednesday i took it to the track and first run she ran a 14.54@97.34 MPH. It spins REAl bad off the line. so i have ordered some Mickey Thompson drag radials and i have Mac full length hedders, H-pipe and a set of Flowmasters. So with sticky tires and exhaust what will this car run now?

low 14's maybe high 13. best i done before a converter was 13.98. you may have to keep good amount of air in the mickeys. if they dead hook you will slow down due to the stock converter being to tight. you will want to spin just 3-5ft to help get the car into its power band better until you get a good custom converter.

4.10's vs. 3.73 is a gear ratio, has nothing to do with length.

higher gear ratio in your rear end will give you quicker acceleration, but less
top end speed and make your highway rpm's higher.
