Default Clutch Slipping

I just put on some new bbk control arms, last summer's 245/50/16's on stock pony rims, and new springs in the back. The car seems a little more sluggish than it did beforehand and the king cobra clutch actually slips with this combination. Is this to much tire? My car has a full exhaust, 3.55 rear end, underdrive pullies, aluminum driveshaft and of course the clutch so it is modified a little bit, so I can use the extra traction. Has anyone had any issues like this?

Those mods shouldn't affect your clutch. Maybe it's just time for a new one. What size tires were on it before?

Well they were 225/55/16, the clutch was put in last summer and hasnt been abused and was babied until 500 miles in. But is there anyway that tires could of affected my gearing?

trust us. have u put a drag slick on there? if so you know what traction is. a stock mustang will spinn any street tire if the motor is in good running condation. if the clutch slips that means you need a new one, because with your mods your not making the power to slip a good clutch. i have 3.73 and half again the motor you have and my ford racing heavy duty clutch does not slip. its like the same as a stock clutch.

I don't think that 245/50's would have been too much tire. That's what I was running w/ no problems. Your clutch linkage may be the problem. Look at your cable and quadrant maybe....
