ok so i was driving my mustang around and when i poped the clutch it would lay like a 5 inch patch then bog and then the next day it wudnt idle i had to hold the gas at like 1000rpms for it not to stall and black smkoe was comin out of the exhaust and it felt like it had lost power when i drove it around any idea whats wrojng with it?

What do u think could be wrong with it? whats black smoke mean again coming from the exhaust pipes

Usually it indicates it's running rich. Now, your car is computer controlled so it may be a slew of other things like sensors and junk. Are you getting any codes?

i got the codes pulled on it last week and it sed i needed an o2 sensor but thats it

If your O2 sensor is giving bad readings, it could be causing your computer to overcompensate rich. You are definitly running rich, so you have to figure out why. Try replacing the O2 sensors (replace both of them, no sense just doing one) and see if that helps. If not, you will have to take it to someone to diagnose your problem for you. Good luck.

Yeah even though the sensors arent that cheap it is still worth it and if one went the other will be going really soon.
