possible bad heater core
Found wet carpet spot under the blower assembly that is
behind the glove box. looked to be dripping out of
small 2" inlet/outlet tube coming out of the unit.
Bad heater core? I have been loosing water in cooling system lately
too, thought a just had a pin hole in one of the hoses or radiator.

RE: possible bad heater core
heater core sounds like a good place to start. Or a bad place, depending on your views of changing heater core [X(].
You can get a large bolt, and block off your hoses (in front of the intake mounted steal tubes) and see if your still leaking coolant. If you don't lose any more coolant, then heater core is your problem.

good idea, just looked finished looking thru the trusty old Haynes Repair Manual.
removing intire dash doesn't look like fun.
anything else worth going ahead and replacing back there if i do take dash out?
A/C condensor or anything? might as well go ahead and replace some of those other
parts back there while i'm in there i think.

Just splice the two hosed together if you want to bypass it. If you think it is coolant on the floor, smell it or even taste it to be sure. If it is antifreeze, then it is a bad core. Mine leaked out the fire wall below the heater hoses, small hose the for that reason. Good luck

Taste it... lol, I'm 99% sure that stuff is lethal in larger doses [8D]
When I did mine, I didn't have to take the whole dash out; I just loosened the bolts, and leaned the right side out some to gain access. You'll need something to support the dash like a bucket or something.
It definitely sounds like your heater core!
The condenser is right in front of your radiator, it's the evaporator back there, and as far as I know those things don't go out very often.
You might need a special tool from an auto parts store to seperate the hard lines in the ac. This was the BIGGEST pain in my *** when I did mine... The bastards didn't want to come loose!
Keep us informed on how it goes
