Default this is strange maybe some one can answer it

im was driving home 2night and my battery light comes on so at first im like f**k i need a battery but the gauge looked good i checked the battery nd charging system when i got home and everything is fine so im wondering why did my light come on

Check for any broke wires on the alternator. I know on the foxes, a wire can break that will cause that.

The light in the dash will come on if a certain wire breaks, would have to look so see the exact one that did that on mine.

no. i drove around with that light on for a month with no problems. that yellow wire just tells the computer how much voltage the alternator is putting out. just go to a junkyard and find a similar ford alternator and take that plug. then just splice the junkyard plug to the car harness. if you can just reuse the old plug by splicing, do that.

When I had an electrical issue, I just bought a new whole connector from autozone for like $12, new and nice. Just did it because I couldn't figure why it wouldn't charge, didn't happen to be that. I think that is what you are talking about getting from a junkyard.
