should i go with short or long headers? Whick ones sound better.

I WOULD SAY THAT THE LONGS SOUND BETTER BUT I WOULD ONLY PUT THEM ON IF RUNNIN AUTO TRANS

That's kinda backass-wards. L/T's are more difficult to fit w/ an auto.

The real question is what are your mods. Unless you have a highy modified car (at least H/C/I), stroker, or blower, you don't need L/T's.

I have heard the same... I had them on my 88GT (maybe 250-260hp) w/ an auto and they were RIDICULOUS to install! I had to take the motor 3/4 the way out just to get the headers off. I didnt install them but if I were the one doing the work... I would of threw them away before I ever put them on. Auto + Longtube headers = [sm=badidea.gif][sm=bangbang.gif]

The motor is out right now because i am in the middle of swapping a four cylinder to 5.0. Right now it is completly stock but i am going to put mods on before i put the motor in. my car is also a manual. what are the best and easy mods to get some horsepower?

Gears - 4.10 for auto
larger MAF
H/C/I- heads, cam, intake--by far the largest actual power gains besides power adder
roller rockers
headers
O/R mid pipe


Free mods...
Bump timing up to 12-13 (base)
Remove air silencer from pass. side fenderwell

deff short tude. i have bbk shots and i have blown a few gaskets and it is easy to change the gasket
