Default (My body work) decided to paint 1/4's

well i decied to roll my fenders, the first one did not go so well so i get to do body work. My fav thing in the world to do[:@] Here is some pics tell me what you think. and again what is the best way to roll a fender?

my buddy cut a whole bunch of slits around the fender then pounded it in with a hammer

i had 2 slits cut in mine and when i hammered them it made the fender buckel, thats why i had to puddy. i put primer and paint on it, and its better than i thought it would be. Im going to paint the whole 1/4 anyway so it will look fine i hope.

i would think cutting more than 2, it wouldnt make it buckle like yours did

no they were close togeather, and i started bending them up, and where it was cut buckled. how far did he cut them apart?

Funny.... That's what happened when i did my first "wheel lip radius job" on a friend's '89 vert..... i cut slits about every inch thinking that would weaken the metal enough to keep the external wheel lip edge from distorting. So much for thinking....
I did my car with no slits & a baseball bat. I had a friend help by pushing\pulling the car while i kept the bat in position. It didn't work so hot; but the wheel lip didn't distort & i did succeed in radiusing the inner lip a bit. I ended up finishing it up with a 5lbs hammer & very careful application... it turned out great
