you'll have to get a frontclip off of an 87-93 (86 was still 4-eyed). it should be a easy switch, i haven't done it though

i know the bumper will bolt right up nut i am not sure about the headlights wiring, you may need to get the headlight harness off your donor car.

alright thats good to hear.... k now when i go to get headers and exhaust what do i get for the 84, do i get shorty headers or equal length ones, then i was told to get a H-pipe with the 84? then what do you all suggest for a loud but deep good sound, turndowns W/cats or go no cats with flowmasters if flowmasters wich muffler etc ?

also is the suspension al lthe same through 84-93? can i just get a suspension kit to lower it for the 87-93 kits? or will those not work?

and how were the engines in the 84? im converting it to efi, and just not sure how the bottom ends were built in 84 compared to the rest of the years?

any exhaust will fit on your car, the only thing you will have to change is your transmission crossmember. 85 and earlier had a single hump while 86-93 v8's had a double hump for true dual exhaust. you will also possibly need to find hangers for the side that doesn't have exhaust on it normally

you'll need to support your tranny and disconnect it from you crossmember, then disconect the crossmember from the car. If you look under your car you should see what needs to be unbolted. after that you just switch it out and put it all back together.

personally, i think you should leave your foureyed front on your car, the 86 and earlier cars are getting hard to find in good shape. I have an 86 and i really like the older front bumpers. but the choice is yours

i might i just might, im just getting ideas in my head and trying to learn everything ic an yano im new to fox bodies and etc so im just trying ot figure out what i can do and what i cant without spending my money on stuff thats not gonna work

the car just got painted has no rust and rock solid.... is missing a dash and has uglyt red cloth interior thats it and for some reason its dif from other 84's it dont have that big black stripe goin around the whole car .. the car looks like a l8r model cept the front end headlights wich is weird but oh well i like it

im gonna lower it put some nice tires and rims on it , then figure out my exhaust and this crossmember stuff... then ill decide on the front end , it already has a 4-5 inch hood cowl on it wich looks cool

i also need to learn about my bottom end on the carb 84... how they hold up agianst the newer 302's and etc are they better worse... etc... do all the heads from 87-93's? fit my car? stuff like that.. i sent u a pm so i dont keep running up this thread about off topic stuff

thank you

Well...personally, I used to have an 86 GT. cruising with just the fog lights on....and that was way back when we just had 55w and 75w bulbs; no blue or white lite lol. Oh yeah, Back to my point....I think the 84-86 have a look all their own. Don't mess with perfection lol....I have a 92 right now but an 84-86 with weld draglites, 15x7 in the front and 15x8's in the rear......NICE!
