okay. well initially i would try to time it and it would be off the gauge, turns out dizzy was off a tooth or two. No big deal, I move the rotor back to where it should be number one on top dead center, and everyting was lined up perfect, the balance was at zero and we were in business. So i though, I go to time it again, (with the spout out, on number one wire)) and i'm at like 20 degrees and could advance still further and I don't know what thats about.

A fuel starved motor will blow apart because of detonation, a motor running rich wont hurt anything other thrn performance and gas mileage
