I thought you could shift as fast if not faster then the guys with the short throws? I guess that would be the same thing, maybe I'm just stupid tonight....????

Short throw shifter have stops to prevent bending the shift forks, how do you figure a stock shifter is better? Aftermarket shifters have stronger springs for the 2-3 shift so you don't have problems going between 1st and 3rd.... Synchros go bad from shifting hard in general, no matter what shifter you have...
If it's goin' in a t-5 they have stops built in. So that wouldn't be such a big issue.

Not uncomfortable at all, in fact I can rest my arm on the center console and shift without having to reach. I absolutely love not having to reach for the shifter. Makes for faster shifts. This shifter is "by far" the smoothest shifter that I have ever used.

ive tried hurst, pro 50 and steeda triax. the triax blows em all away. not tried the mgw yet but ive heard a few good thngs about it. if you dont get the mgw, get the triax. dont waste your time on pro5.0 and hurst.
