I love my steeda tri-ax...it's the only shifter I've used, but it rocks, and I'm sure if any other shifter uses that design, which I sure they do, you won't be dissapointed with anything other than stock.

opinions don't really matter casue most of the time it's the only one someone has used
so unless you wanna buy all the aftermarket short-throw shifters and try them all out, try to find some article that compares them or something

Short throw shifter have stops to prevent bending the shift forks, how do you figure a stock shifter is better? Aftermarket shifters have stronger springs for the 2-3 shift so you don't have problems going between 1st and 3rd.... Synchros go bad from shifting hard in general, no matter what shifter you have...
