RE: Good artcl. on power gains fr. head swap
Thanks for the link.
I am new to mustangs, have had my first 95 GT for just a few months. It is running great but I know I want to do some more with the engine in the future but also want to keep it for a daily driver. The numbers in the article is where I would like to be. Especially with the price. My mustang is one of my "toys" and it is hard for me to spend a lot of money on it at once.
This information will really help me get started on some ideas for my future project. Thanks again.

My only question with the first one is how they gained 50 horsepower through only honing the cylinder bores and puttin on a new intake. Looks like they removed all the accessories. The numbers in the first article are just a little misleading, first because they dyno it without any accessories (not even an alternator) and because they only put it on an engine dyno, which makes it hard to see the real world results from it.

actaully those numbers are about right, with out any accessories
they picked up about +40hp over what factory said it should be over stock w/ accessories
That still wouldn't change the "increase" in performance the AFR's gave.
so take 40hp off their 380hp to get 340hp and thats right on for a
302 with high flow heads and exhaust.
Still shows that you get can get an easy 80-90hp and maybe 100+hp extra by bolting
on some AFR 165's and 1.7 rockers.

REALLY shows you just how crappy those stock heads are!
Big time choke point on these stock engines.
