Default would my block be safe?

Please dont move this thread, I want just some 5.0 tech advice.

I just received my COMPLETE Trick Flow Top End kit (TW heads, Cam, timing set, Track Heat Intake), #24 Ford Racing Injectors w/ matching 75mm MAF, 70mm BBK TB, 255lph fuel pump, Aeromotive ADJ. FPR, FRPP waterpump, King Cobra Clutch, Ford Racing adjustable clutch cable...

I was wanting to get a Nitrous Express kit for my car. Maybe 100-150 shot.

Would running Nitrous with my new parts be safe with my stock short block?

Gratz on all the new goodies!! Sounds like your in for a good bit of wrenching, good luck!! As for the nitrous, how's your block (milage/ring smoke/etc)?? With all that new HP and all the work your gonna be doin, it may be a good time to go ahead and freshen up the ol' bottom end. As for the juice, you should be ok. if your scared, you can get a stud girdle from trick flow for 100 bucks i think, that will strengthen your block up a bit.

you'll be pushing your stock lower end to its limits, you'll probably never have any probs
but keep in mind your walking the edge with a 150 shot.

btw: nitrous blows, get ya an s/c, leave the bottles to the rice heads

my block is in good shape. no smoke, no noises and not even a SINGLE leak!

It has 94k miles on it.

This change anyones mind?

Here's my only prob w/ Superchargers...$3000+. I dont want to spend that much and be running my stock block and only be able to use 9psi MAX.

Anymore thoughts on the Nitrous?

I've seen stock block, and bottom ends run 15lbs of boost... It's all in the tune... You can get upto 500RWHP with a stock bottom end if the tune is safe, but it's just a matter of time before it goes... Besides 9psi is alot out of an S-trim... Unless you have a YSI you won'r be running more then 15lbs no matter what you have done to your motor...

If you really want to put as much nitrous as possible
just use stuff like web girdle that reinforces the block
really good head gaskets, ARP head bolts, ect...., you'll probably be fine forever
