I was at the track today and these 2 guys one with an 88 5.0 and the other with an 89 were running 9.0-9.2 with just a edelbrock intake manifold CAI and a catback.....on street tires....are they hiding something or is this typical for you guys?

my buddies pro street 87 with a S/Ced 306 will blast off a 7.4. That was like a year and a half ago. He's put a 150shot on it now. I'd love to see it run now. He beats modded 03' Cobra's from rolls on the highway with a 75hpjet in it and he pulls away quick to. Its a little more extreme than most people's street cars though, he's got CNC ported Vic heads, Custom .588lift cam. Just a little Novi 1000 on it and a 5.11 gear in the rear end. We dont talk to much anymore though....i miss riding in his car though

a 7.4 is a bad time for a s/c and nitrous. when i was at the track the other day there was an 03 cobra with a pullie upgrade, exhaust, chip and tb and it ran 6.80's
