Default tire size

hey guys, just hadd a quick question on whats the widest tire i could go with in the back of my 84 stang without the tire coming outside the fenderwall lookin ghetto, and without hitting anything?

50? 45? 40? 35? id like to go with like a 345/35/17 if possible without problems

and will 35's fit on a 15x8 draglite?

do you think 35's would look too wide?

ive been looking at tires like these and rims that are deep dished like draglites http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/two-3...QQcmdZViewItem

lol They're a little wide bro. Fox's have trouble putting 'fatty' tires on them. Go with 245/275 Depending on width of wheel.

first of all.. you have no idea what you are talking about when it comes to tire sizes

please PLEASE refer to my post in THIS THREAD to learn a little more

as far as the widest tire you can fit on a fox. you can run 275s or a 10.5 (275/50R15 in metric or something in a floatation size like... 26x10.5r15)

you got your numbers mixed up bud,

345/35/17 345= width 35= sidewall height % 17= wheel

345 is a MASSIVE tire, no way.
try 275 maybe 295 tops. on a 35 or 40 sidewall percent.

no

on a 345/35/17 tire you would have a tread width of 345mm (that being the width of the tire)
the 35 is the percentage of the width of the tire to make the sidewall height. (read: 345 divided by 100 times 35)
and the 17 being the size of the rim

a 345 tire is 13.6" wide. MOST foxes have a hard time fitting anything bigger than 275 which is 10.4" wide

345/35/17 Tire Dimensions:
345mm wide (13.6")
120.75mm (4.75") sidewall height
17" wheel

if so now what width rim would i need to buy for these? and what size tires should i put up front to kinda match these? maybe a 245 in the front?

for rim ive been looking at 15x7 in front and 15x8 in back draglites but i believe they have 15x10s too?

you want at least a 9" wide rim for 275's so that would be 15X9's or 15X10's
