Default Which intake is the best for an '88 5.0?

Does anyone know anything about the Typhoon Intake? It claims to produce about equal power to Trick Flow, but really knows? I want to buy an intake, but is it even worth it for the HP gain? If so what intake would you go with OTHER THAN Cobra or GT40?

you prolly didnt c a bid difference cause you were coming from ported cobra intake manifold which already flows high cfm. but coming from a stock ho intake it makes a really nice difference i would say around thirty horses more prolly like fifteen more rear wheel and i dont think i lost any torque at all too. its sweet.

Depends what cam youve got and what rpms youll be running. I think its 2500-6500 for track heat and 1500 to 5500 is street heat... Its all about your application.. mine happened to be reving higher with a cam that had a higher power band

actually milky is very rigth it depends what cam you have. and where you want your power. but one thing milky was incorrrect about is street heat trick flow has power from IDLE to 5500 rpm and track heat is 15 hundred rpm to 6200. if you have stock cam and like to race around your neighborhood from like stop light to stop light or whatever your track heat will do you great you can even upgrade your cam later and this intake will be fine. i say go for it. dont let all the decision making stuff kill you its easier than you think.

the typhoon is based on an edlebrock and it good for the money..I would put my gt-40 up against the trick flow..but they do flow well . I just like the look of the gt-40 and I have ported mine about all I can and used epoxy to help more
