AFR -- best
Twisted wedge -- next
GT-40X --- after that
Edelbroke Vic Jr. are supposed to flow
better than AFR 185's, but AFR is the
standard everyone else is measured by

ok your jumping ahead of your self, dont pick your heads yet....decide what compression you want, personally if your gonna make it a street/strip 11:1 compression is all you will need at 12:1 if you are in an altitude like i am you will need to add fuel additive or it will rattle a little bit. also your cam will matter on the heads you choose because some cams require the springs in your heads to have a specific seat pressure. so with your cam and compression chose you can then pick a head that will give you the compression and springs/valves you want.
in my case i picked my kit and cam first and i ordered a pair of bare aluminum heads from edelbrock with the right size combustion chambers to give me the compression i wanted. then i ordered the valve and springs to fit the head. my cam requires a open preasure so i had to make sure i got strong enough springs....
just my 2 cents..
also are u running a blower or nitrous or N/A because that will matter on your compression and cam setup as well
