i get about 16 with a stock cobra engine. thats shifting below 3k everytime around the city.

when i brought my 94 gt down, i got 20.6MPG mostly freeway drivin the whole way down

lets face it, gas mileage for a 5.0 is like tryin to find 2 finger prints on 2 different ppl that are the same. no mustang will have exactly the same because of so many factors. Ie. weather, motor, gears, driver.... the list goes on

'90 GT Convertible, all stock, AOD. I usually get between 20 - 24 mpg in mixed city / country road / highway driving.

87 lx with 3.73 gears, 5 spd tranny and basically stock....19 to 23 all the time.

Try here................www.fueleconomy.gov I get 15-17 mpg city when i'm easy on it, and conditions are good. Highway I get right about 27mpg w/3.90's. Mustangs get better highway miles because of the higher speeds at lower rpm's, as long as you dont go too fast then you're gonna start burning fuel more quickly. My sweetspot on the highway is 60-70mph I get great gas mileage in that range since I'm only at 2000rpm's approx.

i get 10.5 but i drive around town alot and have a very heavy right foot
