well leave the cap off when your doing this.

As for it being a little better as you go around the block or whatever, you got to remember, unless your turning lock to lock your not getting the fluid throughout the whole rack. I'm not guarantee'ing this will work but when I changed the pump, it worked for me. A couple ASE techs told me to do that and it worked good for me.

Good luck. Also check for leaks. Are you losing any fluid?

you can just remove the smog and run a shorter belt, no need for a delete... maybe something is up with the rack and pinion
I had to go around 10 inches longer, not shorter :\

Yah, leave the cap off and crank the wheel back and forth

Yeah the air needs to escape and the fluid needs to bubble to allow the air to escape so if the caps on the air stays in the system.

The bleading didnt work. Does anyone have an idea why on earth this is happening? It is a pain in the *** to remove and put the old one back on. I want to try everything before I take it off.

Could it be the belt? It might be a little tight. Would that cause the power steering to not work at all?
