when checking pressure, do I need to unhook any vacuum lines or anything?

Yeah vacuum off it should be 38 or 39

no take the vaccum like off. and the gauge if u have one should read 38-39psi. 19's are good for 300hp

Yeah, I really don't know which vacuum line is which on the 5.0 (I'm stil rather new to fords) Can you describe where the line is???
