in a vert? how are u running almost a half second faster than guys with the same mods as you?

1991 Ford Mustang GT 7.3 15.6
and thats the coup, u prolly shaved off 1.2 sec by adding 10 hp.

calculators are completely worthless, and Ideal conditions are a myth. Dont be upset if u cant hit those mid 14s with ur current set up. go get urself some GT-40 heads and a new cam, and maybe some shorty headers and o/r h pipe and then ur talkin . ull see some serious hp from that.

and ideal conditions how can you consider that a myth the hotter it is the hotter the track the better you hook but anyways i run 94 mph in the 1/4 currently at a 14.948 was best run on 45 degree cloudy day unless track heat doesnt matter but you heat slicks up to get better traction so why wouldnt heat matter but thats just my opion im in Indiana so different here then on the coast

i talked to a kid last night about his fox and the mods he had done. i know for sure it had exhaust probably just catback but that thing was obnoxiously loud. he listed off his mods and he had high compression seals, k&n, 150 shot, msd ignition. i asked him what he ran in the 1/4 and this is how it went...

me: whats your quarter mile time.
him: well without the bottle, hmmm, (asked his buddy what his best time was, he said hmmm too)
me: like 13 or something?
him: yea, yea like 13.2. but i think i can get into the tens on the bottle...

now, to me this sounded like total bull **** and he had no clue what he was talking about. whats the deal?
the thing is this, if he only had a cat back system and his car was that loud he has major major head work, you can take cats off and single flo's on a stock head and its not that loud. if its what i suspect he was trying to hustle you into a race probably off the bottle cuz pending what kind of fox, a notch back or an lx hatch can easily see mid to low 12's with a good h/c/i combo and a 150 shot will have him touching 11flats pending his suspension and tire combo. but if he truely is running mid to low 13's NO WAY IN HELL is a 150shot gonna knock 2.5 seconds off.

heck yeah it is. Out where I go to school theres a kid who drives a red GT with some big chrome Konig wheels, completly stock engine with a 100 shot on it. I saw all the stickers on the quarter windows and i was like man, maybe this guys car is quick, i should race him. well, he pulls his car into the shop for his class, and I pull mine in for my class, (he's in a ford class and I'm in a GM class) well, I started screwing off and went to look at his. He had no engine mods besides his nitrious kit. I think he went to an autoparts store and bought a sticker pack and put them on his car. So my buddy asked him if he had a wet or dry kit and he didnt evem know. They asked what he ran in the 1/4 and he did the same thing as the guy you were talkin about. I was hopin it was the same kid, that would have been hilarious
