I bought my 3.73 and rebuild kit off of ebay for a total of maybe 200 give or take a few dollars. Its been a while since i bought them. I would go with ford racing. Richmond has a history of whinning noises.

If you got a lift you can do it while its in the car. Anytime you get used gears, your taking a chance of getting gear whine. I did my gears myself. Wasnt to much trouble, i did mine also at the local shop class. The teacher wasnt there though. I just got a book on how to do it and went at it. Have never had any trouble with it either.
