OK while i was driving today, i went up to 80 according to my speedometer and the tach reads 2300!! i was like WHOAA! it feels like im doing 90. is it supposed to be this high?

I have a stock 95 rearend and was wondering if it made the difference? Because the axle lette ron the door tag is "M" which means it has the 2:73's right? That letter also is the same letter that is on my door tag. some

So what are you worried about? That's about right for 2.73s.

yea, mine would only be to about 1750 when i was doing 70. so yea, thats about right.

really? cause the car feels like its going really fast..oh well ill get a GPS from my dads boat and test it out.

yeah thats sounds about right.....actually 2300 is pretty good for 80 mph in my opinion..

dosnt sound right to me i got 3.27's and 80 is like 2500-ish maybe a little lower

80 mph on 3.08's is 2200 rpms

Google one of those rpm/mph caculators......I changed my gauges from black to white faced, and noticed that my speedo was off. I didnt notice until I ran across one of those police radar set-ups. I was goin 6mph faster than my speedo told me. I looked it up, typed in the speed, rpm, axle and tranny final drive ratios......VOILA` I am dead on now with seventeens.
