Default Engine Rebuild

This question may be vane, but was wondering how much I good engine rebuild would cost and what would it cover? I have an 88 5.0 GT with about 170k miles and was wanted to get my motor rebuilt soon, ofcourse for more power.. I would like to get somewhere in the range of 300 HP at the rear..

I already have long tube headers, flowmasters, H Pipe w/o cats, 3.73's, and cold air..

How much of an increase can expect to gain from one of these kits?? Or what I better off just waiting for the motor to potentially be dead, and just getting a motor built then??
