4 inch cowl hood.. Driver View??
I got a small dent in my hood which you may be able to see in the photo. I got my mind set on the 2.5 inch cowl Hood. I have considered getting the 4 inch. Does anyone have the 4 inch cowl hood. Is the driver view good enough? I would think It would be a distraction on seeing the road??

I have a 4" cowl and I don't have a problem seeing. In fact, I don't even really notice it anymore. I have passengers in my car complain about not seeing but they are usually slouched down. If you sit in a pretty much straight up position and your over 5'10" you should be perfectly fine. I'm not gonna lie, in the beginning it was a little weird. But I honestly don't even notice it anymore. Sometimes I forget that it's an aftermarket hood. 2.5 Cowls are nice though too so either way you'll be happy. Just rememer that your car will no longer obtain a sleeper type look.

Yeah good point. I am 6 foot 2 so I will certainly see ok. Would you say people with the 4 inch cowl look usually can back it up with performance? I'll probably end up with the 2.5.

P.S. A 1.5 to 2.5 cowl looks good & is not too obnoxious IMHO.....

Not since I put the Turbo on. I'm having a hard time keeping it running right. My tranny is going. My fan secided to take a dump on me so I'm overheating and thermostat is sticking. Just a lot of things going wrong right now. Not to mention the oil leaks.
The turbo is a 66 mm. Holset housings and garret cartdridge. It is wonderful. I love my car I just wish I could keep up with the repairs for it. I'm looking into getting a DD and parking the stang for a few months and hopefully be able to fix things.

thats partially my long term Goal. I got 65,000 original miles on my motor and baught it stock. I'd like a Garrett Turbo or two.. The car parked in the Gararage waiting for a sunny sunday and have a GT Fox mostly stock for a daily driver.
