Default proform electric fan any good??

My old fan is trashed. I saw a mustang specific fan in Jegs for $106 made by Proform, with adjustable temp control. Anybody use these? I don't have A/C so I don't care about the air relay, and the condensor or whatever is removed from the front of the radiator for better cooling. Supposedly, it's rated at 1,800 CFM and I'd be lucky to push 350 HP in the future.

^^^^^ Hey thats my thread. ha ha ha

+1. I hate mine. The fan dies after running for too long. The circuit board for the controller sits on top the fan so it touches the radiator which gets too hot and shuts down and doesn't come back on for a long LONG time. Therefore causing your car to overheat. Very Crappy fan.

I have had one for going on 3 years and it still works good, but you will be happier if you spend a little more money.

i have had no problems with mine. foxrod is running a turbo, so im sure that plays a big part in how well it performs. i think the fan is only rated at like 300hp.

i bought one. the thermostat didnt work and i tried to figure out why, got tired of it after pulling it apart and through it away. i might get it again and just tie it into an ON/OFF switch
