Thats lame, Id get my car back asap, I wouldnt trust their work at this point. Take it to another shop, and when they find out that it IS the gears, send them the bill.

Protect yourself in the event that more goes wrong, like them trying to bill you more or damage and file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau now. This way they know your serious. Your situation can get worse. Those *** wipes could try some shady **** and make you go postal or something. Mechanic shops have bad reputations to begin with they dont want an official unresoveled blemish on their record. You can go to www.bbb.com and file. Let me know if you need any help.

Well, i got my reading in for the next week or 2. But i would go to the shop owner and tell him you want ALOT of your money back, and if he can negotiate with that, tell him your lawyer will be getting ahold of him. He has to know that it was illegal to move your car without letting you know. Tell him you want a full tank of gas for all the driving they did in it too. And if all else fails +1 on throwin some bows.

I would have taken my car back from them the first day, it sounds like they didnt change the bearing races, or set it up wrong.
I would definately call a lawyer, they "stole your car" when they brought it to another shop without you knowing.

Were are going to kick his *** for ya[sm=chairshot.gif] But like i even told you before i dont know if its the gears because it only does it in 4th gear. to me that say trans. if you have exhaust on the car maybe u cant hear it in the other gears.

Also, keep in mind your family had nothing to do with this. I know how easy it is to get mad sometimes, but try to leave them out. I know personally how much it hurts to be a child and have your dad yell at you for no reason. I'll save you the sob story...but yea..
