I just tryed cleaning my IAC for the first time and I had it off the throttle body ps my car is a 1994 mystang gt and I sprayed the carb cleaner in as directed but I used a shop Rag to try and absorb some of the carb cleaner and I broke off a little peice of the orage cork screw shaped filliment (I dont know the name of it) but i started my car praying I handnt screw it up too bad and my idle was at 1500rpms!!!! someone help do i adjust the idle screw untill my car is at normal idle? Its a brand new motor and my parents were yelling at me for even cleaning it so I really need to fix this before they find out!!!! Any advice would be greatly appresiated(sp?)

I am really worried because my new motor has really dented their wallet how much is a new IAC and where would I get one?? i only broke off a couple of the "threads" as i am calling them but obviously it was enough to to throw the motor off!!!

See in picture c the hole closest to the plug when i put the rag in there i broke like one side of the little thing off

I think a IAC is like $40. and u can get it at any auto parts.

So there is no fixing it i couldnt compensate with the idle screw!!!??? **** creeks and paddles arent good where do i get a new one how much chedda$$??
