Default HELP!! car overheats

i just got the car yesterday and it has an electric fan. it worked fine before and now it doesnt turn on at all. what do i do?

does the fan circuit have a relay in it? if so check the relay. make sure the fan is getting power and has a good ground. if the fan is tempature controled you may need a new thermostat.

from what i saw, it is connected directly to the fuse box but i couldnt find which fuse it was connected to. one fuse was fried and i replaced it but it still didnt turn on.

i had one but i lost it. ill try and get one. is there any other way to see if the fan is getting power?

could be your heat sending unit. unplug it and see if it makes the fan kick on.

i guess you could unplug the connector and try to shock yourself with it. thats really the only other way i know haha

lol...its on the front of your motor, its a relay switch in front of your intake. near where the hose goes in. if you unplug it and the fan comes on, thats yur prob.

If you don't have a test light you can always just put the fan on a switch.

no I'm just kidding. seriously though, go to your auto part store and pick one up. it'll make the job a lot easier
