Also I know this is kinda stupid but you might want to go get a new piece of hosing at a local auto parts store. It should only set you back like a $1.00

Good to hear you got it back together. Hope your problem disappers now. Also if you haven't seen the post I put up there I would suggest you go to a parts store and get some hose to replace that one. If there was a clog at the bottom there is a good chance that a clog might be forming in the hose too. The hose should cost you but 1 or 2 dollars. Just prevenative maintenance.

After I saw this post, since I was messing with my car... Adjusting the hood because I use to have to push it down. My "CHECK COOLANT" light comes on and off all the time so I decided to clean/scrape the sensor prongs, since I realized there was some gunk on it I decided to put something long down the reservoir, when I did came up with the same gunk you got so I just decided to clean it out. Unbolted it and pulled it out and ran in under a hose, rinse it three time and green hulkish like gunk bled out, now it is 90% clean instead of 90% dirty. Always looking for stuff to clean and fix.
