my car will start when it is cold,but after it runs and gets up to temp. I shut it off and it won't start back.It has been doing this for a couple of weeks and I can't track the problem.Replaced fuel filter,plugs,wires,cap,rotor,dis. module,coil,tps.When it is running it will stay running for hours,but won't rev past 3500 rpms as soon as I shut it off won't start back up unless I let it set for an hour or so.Check engine light is on but I have a SNAP-ON mt2500 scanner and I tried to scan the codes but it won't communicate w/the ecm.I found that when it won't start it does not have 12v on the red/blue stripe wire coming out of the distributor module.ANYONE have a clue???

I replaced it with another used one that I had from a previous car that I know is good.

next time you have this problem with the car not starting unplug the tps and try to start it unpluged. If it starts you need to re-adjust it.

anyone know what the red wire w/blue stripe coming off the dis. module goes to? I know with key on ign.off it should have 12v.mine doesn't!
