Make him fix that problem as part of the 3G tops you offer him. Have another shop inspect it first, cause something doesnt smell right?

86 had the e6 heads, when in 87 they swiched to e7, big improvement over the e6. The 86 had less power, I think you would do better off looking for a 87 and up. But in 89 and some 88 switched to mass air wich are better for modding. You could get a 87-93 for that 5500 bucks easy with work done to it.

yeah for $5,500 you can get you an 89-90 model with more
horsepower and better EFI system.

too much for an 86

5500 is a lot but those 4 eyes are getting harder to find in good condition. im with the other guys. offer him like 3500, and make him fix the problem

Yeah because the 87+ have so much more power than the 86...gimme a break 20hp......if you like the car offer him 3Gs

It sounds like the power steering pressure sensor took a dump and the ecu won't bring the idle up around corners...

Is the car a notch or a hatch? Is it a factory 'T' top? Is it a notch with a factory 'T' top?

either look for a 87-92 or add a procharger to your current 6 for less then that amount and run 12s
