The install shouldn't be too bad, but I'd go w/ a different brace. Look at MM or steeda. ...Or any other brace that has a more space between the firewall brace points. It's more sturdy and gives you more room around your intake.

The strut tower brace is easy as all hell to hook up. All you need to do is drill about 4-6 holes. 2 in each strut tower and if u have a decent brace, 2 in the firewall or near the weld areas.

I bought the BBK Gripp brace and it has a backplate to reinforce the firewall a bit, makes a huge difference with handling.... that and even bolt on subframes (I bought both on Summitracing.com for around $200).

You know....

I think I might sell both soon. I'm going to go with the FULL length subframes from Maximum Motorsports and the strut tower from them aswell I think. I just need to save a little. Let me know if u want either piece or not, I just put them in about 60 miles ago, but now I'm being crazy and I'm gonna blow ALOT of money on my suspension.

They're both GREAT pieces though, huge difference in handling from stock.

I'm just going to make my own, cheaper, and I can build it as strong as I want and how I want.

I was thinking of making a shock tower brace like that, but are there any specific parameters you have to follow so you don't actually screw something up or is it just basic welding and mounting to make braces?

You could probably get away with it any way you want, but I am going to do it with engine and tranny out, crossmember out front completely bare, and then make it, better results that way. Same thing for sub frame connectors, but with the crossmember in and the car sitting on the ground (engine and trans still out) set it on the ground, roll it on to a lift and get to work. You always do it with the car as bare as possible.
