Im looking at buying a 94 cobra and he said it just says mustang gt on the title...anyone know if it says "cobra" on the title...or do you have to just look up the vin to find out for sure if its a cobra...

 

look up the vin, just to be safe.

 

i havent seen the car yet so i cant get the vin...i was planning on looking it up though when i look at it...i just wasnt even gonna go look at it if the title is not even for that car

 

yeah. make sure the vin on the title matches the vin on the car too. are you buying it from a private seller or a used lot?

 

check the 8th(i think) spot on the vin...if it's a D then the car is a cobra.

 

its from a dealer and i will check both of the vins too.. good call..i got the other mustang of this guy but i was just being cautious..thanx for the info on the D thing boostin

 

Shouldnt there be a Cobra certificate with the title too? Signed by whoever runs SVT.

 

theres a few ways to tell for sure.

 

definitly check the vin

mine is 1FALP42D6RFXXXXXX make sure it has either a 42D or a 40D If it said E or any other letter, its NOT a cobra

edit... also what color is it??? The car can only be red, white or black! And if its a vert... it can ONLY be red!
