5 speed swap (extra wire connection)
ok i'm in the middle of my swap and i was able to get the pedals in, speedo/clutch cable moved and all the wires connected (i hope there the right ones) but i have a question about one wire connection. the only wire connection that i have left if the one that does in to the cable assembly that is hooked in to the ignitions to the auto shifter. its a small connection that had 3 wires coming out of it. i take it that there is a sensor inside this thing that tells the ignition when the car is in park or not. now what the heck do i do with this connection? do i have to jumper it to complete the circuit, or just leave it unpluged?

Hmm, I have not heard of an issue with that. I suspect it simply needs to be jumpered or perhaps it can be left alone. You'll need a service manual to tell you what it is and how it works. The diagnosis portion for that sensor aught to tell you how to bypass it.
