aka truck and tractor pullers. a lot of them do not run coolant/water. but only for a short amount of time.
my hillbilly friend had a puller with a 327 chevy, ran on alcohol. they filled the coolant passages with cement. one of their others was a LT1 396 stroker that ran on alcohol that they ran with no coolant but left the passages open. those engines were probably the loudest, fastest engines i've ever stood next to.

i would advise not running your car with no coolant. unless of course you're looking for a reason to buy a new one.

ORIGINAL: Tims 88GT

ur water pump would lock up before the motor got that hot.

Mmmm nope. Waterpump would be pretty cool. You'd be surprised at how fast the walls heat up with nothing cooling them, 20 seconds of running my car with no coolant at 3 grand and it was smoking out of the heater pipe. Pistons would bite the walls before the water pump seized. Besdies, the water pump seizing aint gonna stall the engine.

Your walls and pistons would become one. Been there done that. Did 'er to my 2.8 before I pulled the motor, had 27x,xxxkms on it so it was worthless.
