What's the widest tires you can go????
I have a 92 gt with 18" cobra 2000 R rims and kuhmo tires all around with 235 up front and 265 out back with having to roll up my fenders to fit the rims/tires. What is the widest you think i can go in the rear ....275? the front i think maybe 245's with a little rubbing.....and i was looking at going with some new nittos?

go for the nittos i have the 555's i love them their the only tire to get on a stang the 555 r's are really sick just they suck in any rain or gravel road the 555's are pretty good all around in the rain and the dry just the 555 r's hook up soo good in the dry their just sickk just unsafe in any rain at all my friend has the r's on his stang it started raing one day and he hadda pull over and wait for it to past it was that bad so i would just go with the 555 unless your just gonna drag the car

I'm sorry but Nitto's are garbage. None of my friends hook on those things. If your looking for very grippy tires go with M/T's new drag radial. People are pulling 3 ft. wheelies with them. As for the size, sorry I've asked this question several times.

It depends on alot of different things... Rim size, backspace, quad shocks...
I have 275/50/15 on my coupe on a 8" Weld wheel with 4.5 backspacing(The Black car)
The Red car has 325/50/15 on a 10" Weld with 6.5 Backspacing... You can do a 275 with ease and it tucks under the wheel well, but if you need the biggest tire you can do the 325's....

Damn 93 your red car looks like it's jacked up. ha ha ha. I see your running the M/T drag radials right? Why is the back end so high? What is the rim size 16,17 or is it 15 with just a HUGE sidewall?

The Red car isn't mine, it's one of my buddies cars... The 325/50 is a huge tire so it sits pretty high, he has the Eibach Drag Launch springs in the car, but the car runs 10's, and it almost dead hooks on the street with the MT's, so who cares what it looks like... lol... It's all about winning races

My friend has a 92 paxton supercharged vert.He has the black drift R rims and on the back he is running a 275/40/17 he said he didnt have to remove anything the backs dont rub.

Oh no I wasn't trying to say it looked bad. I'm just saying it looks like it is Raked like all hell. ha ha ha. But see I knew the M/T DR's are nice. Dead hooks 99% of the time. Just make sure you have a strong rear end and tranny before applying serious power during lauches on these.
